Join the team building military robotics for the future.

Ultron Bionics is looking for engineers, designers, researchers, and operators who want to work on high-impact robotics systems.

Why Ultron

Help shape a company building advanced humanoid platforms from the ground up.

We value precision, speed, accountability, and rigorous thinking. Our team is focused on solving hard problems with discipline and ambition.

Open Roles
  • Lead the mechanical and electromechanical design of humanoid subsystems for the Ultron-X1 platform.

    Responsibilities
    • Design and validate articulated joint assemblies, actuation, and structural components.
    • Own integration between mechanical hardware, sensors, and control electronics.
    • Drive design-for-manufacture, field-serviceability, and ruggedization decisions.
    What we look for
    • 5+ years building production robotics or aerospace hardware.
    • Deep CAD fluency (SolidWorks / NX) and FEA familiarity.
    • Experience with high-torque actuators, harmonic drives, or BLDC systems.
  • Engineer rugged mechanical assemblies that survive contested, high-shock field environments.

    Responsibilities
    • Develop chassis, mounts, and load-bearing structures for the X1 platform.
    • Coordinate with materials and supply chain on alloy and composite selection.
    • Run prototype iterations from concept through field validation.
    What we look for
    • BSME / MSME with 4+ years in defense, aerospace, or robotics hardware.
    • Hands-on prototyping experience — CNC, sheet metal, additive.
    • Familiarity with MIL-STD environmental testing.
  • Build the perception, planning, and decision systems that give Ultron-X1 mission-appropriate autonomy.

    Responsibilities
    • Develop perception pipelines fusing LIDAR, vision, and inertial data.
    • Implement planning and behavior frameworks with human-on-the-loop oversight.
    • Validate models against real-world field telemetry and edge cases.
    What we look for
    • MS / PhD in CS, robotics, or related, or equivalent industry experience.
    • Strong Python + C++; production ML / SLAM background.
    • Experience deploying ML to constrained edge compute.
  • Own firmware and low-level software for the X1's compute, sensor, and actuation stack.

    Responsibilities
    • Design real-time firmware for motor controllers and sensor bridges.
    • Implement secure boot, signed updates, and tamper-evident logging.
    • Profile and harden the embedded stack for field reliability.
    What we look for
    • Expert C / C++ on ARM Cortex or equivalent.
    • Working knowledge of RTOS, CAN, EtherCAT, or similar field buses.
    • Comfort with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and bring-up debugging.
  • Design the control laws that make the X1 stable, responsive, and field-credible.

    Responsibilities
    • Develop whole-body control and locomotion strategies.
    • Tune controllers against hardware-in-the-loop and field data.
    • Collaborate with autonomy on safe state transitions.
    What we look for
    • Strong background in modern control theory, MPC, optimization.
    • Experience with legged or articulated robot dynamics.
    • Fluency in C++ and at least one simulation framework.
  • Bring mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software subsystems together into a deployable platform.

    Responsibilities
    • Own end-to-end integration test plans across X1 hardware revisions.
    • Triage cross-discipline issues from bring-up through field trials.
    • Maintain configuration baselines and release readiness reporting.
    What we look for
    • 5+ years integrating complex hardware/software systems.
    • Defense, aerospace, or robotics program experience preferred.
    • Strong written communication for cross-team coordination.
  • Drive program execution across engineering, operations, and customer-facing milestones.

    Responsibilities
    • Operate the X1 program roadmap with engineering leadership.
    • Interface with defense customers, primes, and oversight authorities.
    • Translate strategic goals into deliverable engineering scope.
    What we look for
    • Track record running hardware programs at scale.
    • Familiarity with defense procurement and milestone gates.
    • Comfort with technical depth in robotics or aerospace.
  • Inform platform direction with rigorous analysis of doctrine, threat environments, and capability gaps.

    Responsibilities
    • Track defense robotics, autonomy, and policy developments globally.
    • Synthesize concept-of-employment briefs for internal and external use.
    • Support business development and partnership conversations.
    What we look for
    • Background in defense analysis, OSINT, or strategic studies.
    • Strong writing and synthesis — briefs that respect a reader's time.
    • Clearance eligibility a plus.
